If you've arrived, you've figured out i'm not an expert at web design, but you have proof now that I love to try new things, fail and learn as I go. I am an intentional leader who is eager to re-humanize the workforce with kindness. I am a straight to the point, go-getter who wants to openly discuss weak points and focus on continuous improvement. Where failure lies, is the chance for growth and improvement.
I am currently serving as the Head of Competitive Intelligence for Siemens DISW but most notably served as a Vice President of IoT and Applications for Siemens Mobility. In that role, I hired, trained and coached a team to create every day impacts in the traffic domain using artificial intelligence. One of my key skills is taking a large amount of data and insights and presenting them in a simple way that each individual in the business, even if not in tech, can understand the concepts and value propositions.
I've worked in several industries (healthcare, mobility and tech) focusing my career on driving digital transformations and helping organizations implement new technologies to quickly realize value. I spent seven and a half years working in med device manufacturing on the manufacturing floor and i'm incredibly humbled by that experience each day to truly have an impact on the health and wellness of the lives of others.
One of the accomplishments that i'm most proud of is hiring an incredibly diverse team. The reason being, I took recruiting very seriously and left no stone unturned by attending industry events, trade shows and even reaching out to HBC's to find the absolute best talent available in our market. Don't let anyone tell you the talent just isn't there, it is. You're just not looking in the right places or providing them a safe place to be themselves at work. I was born in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada and immigrated to the United States when I was 12. Educated with an MBA (concentration in Management Information Systems) and a B.S. in Computer and Information Sciences. Currently living in Austin, TX and spending my “free” time volunteering for Austin Pets Alive! or curating my Little Free Library.
